- Even though it involves closing agencies, shutting down the government is actually more costly...
It’s been a year and a half since the Covid-19 virus swept into the country and officially brought the pandemic originating in China to the United States.
After hundreds of thousands of deaths in this country, and millions worldwide, all we seem to know for sure is that the virus came from within the communist country.
But no one seems to know whether it occurred in nature, jumping to humans from a bat slaughtered in a Chinese wet market, as initially reported, or whether it leaked from a Chinese bioweapons lab in Wuhan, as is greatly speculated.
Worse, it seems that few in government are even interested in getting to the bottom of the origins at all.
In May, CNN reported that:
President Joe Biden’s team shut down a closely-held State Department effort launched late in the Trump administration to prove the coronavirus originated in a Chinese lab over concerns about the quality of its work, according to three sources familiar with the decision.
Sources claimed internal disputes on whether the probe was a politically motivated attempt by the Trump Administration to blame China directly for the pandemic led to the Biden Administration shutting it down.
But despite the lack of accountability for the pandemic which has turned the world upside down, American citizens increasingly believe the wet market story to be false and that China must be held directly responsible for Covid-19.
This includes the communist dictatorship paying reparations to the United States of America.
In July, J. Michael Waller, a Senior Analyst for Strategy at the Center for Security Policy, presented the results of a TIPP Poll conducted for the thinktank by TechnoMetrica on the origins of the virus.
The poll revealed that:
Nearly two-thirds of Americans believe that the Chinese regime should pay reparations for the destruction caused by the human coronavirus pandemic…
This number would rise to 78 percent should it be proven that the virus was released intentionally by the Communist Party.
The poll also revealed that:
About half of those surveyed believe that the virus “was developed in a lab,” with a quarter of the public convinced that the Chinese government created it “intentionally” in a lab and released it “intentionally.”
The poll also reveals the different regional attitudes towards the culpability of the Chinese Government regarding this topic:
While southerners and Midwesterners are most likely to think that the Chinese government created the virus and is responsible for unleashing the pandemic, people in the more liberal Northeast are the toughest when it comes to making China pay reparations if an investigation reveals an accidental release from a government lab.
These results also align with the findings of a similar poll conducted by Politico & Harvard University:
In the Politico-Harvard poll, 59 percent of Republicans, 52 percent of Democrats, and 47 percent of independents say that the virus came from a Chinese lab.
So where do we go from here?
It is becoming increasingly obvious that the American public is not buying the official story of the origins of Covid-19, yet there seems to be very little movement on getting to the bottom of it.
Of course, the Chinese government will not make their data available to investigators with the World Health Organization, who by the way, were caught running cover for the Communist regime which was allowing Chinese citizens to travel abroad with the virus in the early days of the pandemic.
When Taiwanese officials first raised alarms over the virus spreading from human-to-human in December 2019, WHO officials held the party line for Chinese officials who denied it. This, of course, was a lie.
American politicians and government agencies must conduct a thorough investigation of the pandemic and the degree to which the Chinese are complicit, if not directly behind, its spread.
While demanding reparations will not bring back the dead or give back to the rest of us the time and money lost over the course of the pandemic, it will signal that to the world that America is serious in confronting the Chinese government and may just trigger the beginning of its downfall.
China is hiding something.
If it should be discovered that they are behind the pandemic, whether intentionally or through incompetence at the Wuhan Lab, reparations are the least that is owed.
